Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do before my waxing appointment?
Prior to being waxed, no products containing retinol, retinoids, Glycolic, or Salicylic acid should be used for 7 days. This includes any oral or topical acne medications.
If you have been using Accutane you must stop use 6-12 months prior to being waxed.
If you have had a chemical peel or laser resurfacing treatments please wait 4 weeks before being waxed.
How often should I get waxed?
New hair growth occurs every 21 days so it’s encouraged to schedule every 3-4 weeks to maintain your shape and keep your brows on point.
Is there anything else I should know about getting waxed?
If this is your first time being waxed or it has been over a year since your last wax, your skin could be more sensitive than normal. Sometimes your sensitive skin will react and possibly be prone to breakouts or small bumps. Celluma LED Light Therapy can help reduce the inflammation and redness, and reduce the chance of breakouts. This is an add-on service that is available for all waxing services. If you are getting waxed for a special occasion we recommend doing it a month in advance to test your skin’s reaction.
